[MRCG] Clatternet

NVIS MUF has been ugly as of late. I'm working on modifying an existing "around the yard on the fence" dipole (350'). EZNEC freebie says its max angle is about 45 degrees. My short vertical on the roof fires around 20, per the model.

Cheers!

Immediately after QSY, the band went long and I could no longer hear NF6X on either antenna. I wonder if even earlier would be better (not too early !). If anyone wants to try, I can be available after 10 AM next Sunday for testing throughout the day.

If I did, then I could provide some sort of feed from my own receiver during nets, so that folks with a bad local noise problem would have an alternate way to hear what's going on. I seem to have lucked out with a good location. Even though there are overhead power lines along one edge of my property, I haven't had any noticeable problems with local noise.

>> Jim, I can usually hear you just fine on RTTY when you're not able to copy me, so it seems like its mostly your local noise that's causing the problem.
