Hi all,

 

I am trying to get a valuation for a complete Raytheon Model MAY-1 Portable
Radio Transmitting and Receiving Equipment. The inspection tag has at date
of 1961. It is complete and Brand-new. I have had it for about 17 years and
finally opened the wooden crate to see what was really inside. Here's a
list;

 

CRP-43071-A TRANSMITTER- RECEIVER

CRP-19062 AUX. BATTERY PACK

AS-408/U ANTENNA (2)

CCUZ-10583 CABLE BAG

SNSN N16-C-170001-346 COIL BAG

CRP-10551CARRYING CASE

 

It also has the complete Crystal Set type CR-9/U. It is labelled F-16-C
99401-1018. 

 

I was thinking of taking it to the nineteenth annual meeting of the West
Coast Military Radio Collectors Group at Camp San Luis Obispo National Guard
Base on May 1, 2 and 3, 2014. But I need to determine the value first. 

 

I have a buddy who has a brand-new one also, so there could be a set
available for sale. I assume this is rare to find in its used condition and
extremely rare to find one in brand-new condition?

happy to send them to you. They include serial numbers as well.

 

Any information or help in determining its value, or pointing me towards
someone that could, would be very much appreciated.
