Yes I remember your enthusiasm re this rig as "one of the "funest" radios you had had the pleasure of operating" or something to that effect. I have a 102E packed away in the garage. Someday... only a couple more years till my #2 is out of college and I can retire. Both girls will elope with my blessings...
Jay

CORRECTION. I never had a 102 set mine was Type 81. Here is a pic of mine as
operated in the field at MRCG a few years back.

Both Mark and Andy have had one of these sets at one time or another. They are
etting more rare. The hand crank generator that would work with this set was
uperior in design to the GN-58 (with the advantage of several decades of
echnology). It is a brushless alternator design. Not sure if the outputs from
he generator (not included in this auction) would be compatible with the
RC-9...considering design similarities, I would not be surprised if it worked.

The unit is essentially a GRC-9. The tubes in the set and the spare tubes are
ll drop in tubes for the GRC-9. If the kit is complete, it will include dipole
ntennas, headphones, etc. I had fun unpacking mine about 5 years ago. Here is
ome good info:
