Gentleman:

I would start by talking with  Kurt Lesser KG6KMJ   papakb at yahoo.com   for starters    he is still club president...   Dave Ball is newsletter editor.   He is computer guy. but does not speak radio..   John Neuenburg also does not speak radio..  but Kurt does.. he has even shown up at some MRCG events...    At the last couple of events at Tower Park  Tim Samm N6CC has been more or less running the comm center displays etc.. even made HF radio contacts... with the folks doing Marconi day in Marshall

I probably need to update it. but at one time I had a list of most of twenty folks in the MVCC with ham licenses...  a number of them are in the MRCG
that would be interesting . who in the MRCG is also in the MVCC?

By the way the MVCC will be doing a display   at the living history area of military vehicles and stuff.  at the "main event" Pleasanton Scottish Games on Aug 30 and 31 at the Al Co fairgrounds..  so setting up some radio stuff there would be cool.. so you might well talk with John Neuenberg about this.he is involved with the display at the Pleasanton event

also in a couple days is the Monterey Scottish Games...  local for me.. some of the Caledonian club honchos will be there passing out brochures for the Pleasanton event..  i doubt if the living history guy  Paul Hardstone will be there. but i know most of these folks and can mention it...

more trivia for you guys   see http://www.caledonian.org/  at least some of the still photos are mine... on the video etc...

also the ARRL ham Convention is in October again at the Marriott in Santa Clara..  one might want to talk about a display at the convention.. separate from the KPH/KSM coastal station folks..  last year they were a no show due to the sequester...   also last year the Marine Corps Band from San Diego were also a no show due to the sequester as well.. they had some bay area cadet band. which were ok for a high school or college band but not even close to the Marine Band.. professional musician.   Big Leagues!!

So yes we need to discuss the convention but it is a long way off and there are other events much sooner...

also in September is the MVCC   event at Tower Park...
