Mark:

I have one that I picked up at Lodi acouple of years ago! It is a BC-1016
and will make the tapes used in the TG-34 or similuar "reader". Only
troubel is finding the blank tape ! It is about 3/8ths inch wide and came
on at 16mm film reel, about the size of a 10 minute movie.

I have looked on google but have yet to find the paper tape, so if you ever
find some let me know..................................

Gentleman:

A few weeks back on TV on the Pawn Stars TV program.. some guy brings in a
TG-34.. and says it is some secret crypto decoder... it was in really clean
shape... it might of even had some paper tapes.. but all it is ... is a
training aid for students learning Morse Code.. not even close to an Enigma
machine... well some consultant guy comes in and recognizes what it is.. and
the pawn shop still gives him a good bit more than it is worth at a ham
radio swap meet... which i thought was amusing... these aught to sell for
like $25

now has anyone ever seen an inker unit for making tapes from blank paper?..I
have never seen one of those, which should be a rare valuable item..
I might of mentioned this before.. but TG-34 came up in the conversation ..
also there is one on display at a mini museum at Hollister airport in one of
the hangars....

I did copy some of the Clatternet here last week.. using modern equipment...
got reasonably good copy.. considering HF and no error correction and all
that...
