[MRCG] GRC-9 Vertical

Well, I finally fired up the GRC-9...Bob (AG6QL) stopped by my home QTH
with his BC-611 and we fired up the dynamotor in the M38A1 jeep.  It took a
few tries to get the vibrator to work...but it did work.  I am conditioned
by all my other modern gear that once you tune up a radio on an RX
frequency that it's good for both TX and RX (hah)...I had to zero beat the
transmitter to be sure that we were both on the same page...low and behold,
it worked.  Thanks for the kickstart Bob!

As I shared on the net Saturday, I will see about getting an RM-53 setup
for remote comms with a field phone for next year.  Maybe we can run a set
of wires back to my campsite with the kids.  I'll also setup my Bogen
BC-1346 audio amp...I've not seen another one like it.  If anybody has
information (manuals, etc for this...I would be VERY interested).
So...grand plans, and 11 months to prepare.
