Among other reasons, the dataplate power draw of the GP-7 is 960 watts. A 700 VA inverter would be too small. But if I happened to have a big enough 400 Hz inverter, or if I had found one cheaply before deciding on modifying the inverter that I ordered, then I might have tried that instead.
