I've ordered manuals for the GP-7 and ARB from Robert Downs.
After inventorying my haul, I see that I have a complete set of tuning units A-F, with an extra B and D. I'll keep the extras for spares until I get the transmitter up and running and test it all out, but afterwards maybe I'll offer them as trade fodder.
I may already have the mating connectors I need, but I think I will want an operator's control box for it.
Still looking for an ARB, or possibly RU or RAX.
I'm told that the transmitter should work and was used on the MRCG net before by Dennis W7QHO. I'll still treat it as an unknown quantity since it's new to me, and something may have gone wrong as it traveled around to get to me. The usual drill.
I've been investigating various means of powering the unit, and I'm leaning towards getting a cheapish 24VDC to 120VAC solid state inverter, reverse-engineering it and modifying it for 800 cycle per second output. Other easier avenues exist, but appear to be louder and/or more expensive.
