I will concur that the Sussex County hamfest was worth the trip. I ended up rolling out later than expected as there was a lot to look at. All in, my day was over 12 hours long by the time i got home. 3 1/2 hours there and 4 hours back. 400 miles total and nearly a full tank of gas.

I did snag an rt-1512 (TRC-179) that seems to be mostly working. I may have to converse with Ray on this one.

Also acquired a number of other interesting odds and ends that I really don't need, but the price was right.

Good field test of the PRC-68. The surplus Ni-MH AA cells that I put in a few years ago are still working.

Subject: [MRCA] Ham fest after action report

The Sussex county New Jersey ham fest was great!
We had two operators from this group join in on, 51.000 MHz 1 on a prc-126 and the others on prc-68s.
Weather was great, a lot of vendors showed up.

I managed to pick up a Datron TW7000 minus the encryption modules for a great deal.
Now all I have to find is a microphone or at least a connector to go to this silly microphone bulkhead.
Believe it or not it was a Sure desk microphone that got supplied with the radio.

If anyone has or can point me in the right direction for the connector or a microphone I am all ears!

Best regards
Dave
