Thanks Ray... I also like to operate from the mountains during Museum Ships Weekend event.  Usually first weekend in June.  Was fun to work the USS Pampanito sub (TBL) and USS Missouri with the GRC-9 on CW from a campsite awhile back.  You guys do get many "mil" events to have fun with back east!
I will be operating with a buddy during a 3 day camp trip to Mt Diablo (CA) for Winter Field Day 26 this weekend.  TRC-77 on CW, PRC-174 etc, and more fun with the PRT-4/PRR-9 helmet sets  to mystify other campers in the area...hihi

Other events where military radios will be.

April 28                Fort Miles Historical Association and Delaware State Parks annual “Delaware Goes to War” weekend. Big reenactor event but WW2 only. I set up and operate the mutt just outside the show where they have a space set aside for post war equipment and displays.

May 7, 8, 9          52nd Annual East Coast Military Vehicle Rally, Hagerstown MD. MVPA affiliated event at Hagerstown Airport. Usual Saturday nets operated from the event. Combined military vehicle show (MVPA) swap meet and for the last couple years they also sponsor small reenactor section  with overnight camping.

May 15, 16, 17  Hamvention. Planed operation of WW2 3885 AM Net at 1200 on the 16th, Cold War 51.0 FM Net at 1400 and there will be at least a sixty meter and RATT net thrown in there somewhere, maybe a 144.25 AM, who knows?

September ?      REDBALL FALL SHOW 2026 - GILBERT, PA. MRCA Premier military radio event. Displays, swap meet and extensive field operations on and around the community along with remote participations.  They do not have the new date published yet but it will be promoted when learned. Operations and Nets on multipole bands and modes. Its last years link but still gives an idea:

The mutt goes to almost all the events except Hamvention, maybe one day will set up a go fund me thing or something to offset all the expense of dragging it out that far? In addition to the above there will be the MVPA Nationals this year in Fishersville, Virginia June 19, 20 and 21st but don’t know If I will be there this year or not, long drive.

But beyond what’s been going on out on the west coast and at Redball in September not a lot of events primarily focused on Military radios.

Subject: [Milsurplus] K3MSB WW II Reenactor Events 2026

Hi Everyone

As most know, last year was my first year doing WW II reenactment and I had a BLAST!   I'm looking forward to this year!

Here's a list of the events that I plan on attending in 2026 with WW II radio gear:

Reading Airshow June 5, 6, 7
WW II American Experience Museum WW II Weekend July 25-27
Eisenhower National Park WW II Weekend  September 18-20
Military Aviation Museum Airshow Virginia Beach VA   Oct -- exact date unknown.

During last year, several people had commented that they didn't know anyone would be at these events with working radios.   So, I'd like to know who may be planning on attending these 4 events with working radios.   I know it's early,  but I want to get the message out so planning, at this time preliminary, can start taking place.
