My antenna is a MiniWhip (E Field probe).  It fits in the palm of my hand.   I have it in a weather proof enclosure at a height of 16 feet on a fiberglass mast about 80 feet from the house.  The 75 ohm coax is grounded at the fiberglass mast base as well as the entry point to the house.  Inside I have a hombrew common mode choke that gives me about 5K at 400 KC.

In the past I’ve run active loops and they worked ok.  Also used my 160M inverted-L in the past.

Logged PAL 365 KC out of Palma Ecuador tonight.   No external audio processing.

PAL was weak but steady.

Hi Everyone

For the past 2 years I've been using my RBA receiver for vintage LF/MF fun, and have logged over 200 NDBs each year.   This year I decided to use my BC-453B receiver.   It's been recapped, and all out of tolerance resistors (sans one....) have been replaced.

Since early November,  I've logged 52 NDBs.   I'm hoping to log 100 this listening season (which runs through March).
