I have both the R-107 and R-107T, interestingly the R-107T doesn’t put out any more power, weighs about the same, and has a less sensitive receiver than the tube version!

Subject: [MMRCG] Video on the Soviet R-107 Transceiver

Been working on getting my R-107 back in order, installing new battery system and the like. In many ways the R-107 is about equal to the PRC-25/77 and was produced during the same time period. The big difference is that the R-107 weighs twice as much as a PRC-25 , has half the power  and about half the coverage as its American counterpart. But unlike the older R-105,108 and 109 it has the ability to be used on six meters and will cover 51.0 I did decide not to mess with the toxic mess that the KNP-20 were and ended up using a six volt nine ampere hour SLA cell and the video shows that.
