A group of us are planning the next Radio meetup for Sunday the 19th @
Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge Owen Station Road In Vernon NJ . We will be planning to get together at the Pavilion. There are plenty of picnic tables and a large field to set up antennas. Also a Pota park.
I will be setting up the Military antenna AN-2259 NVIS in the big field, and maybe some other things depending on who's coming.
I can monitor 51.000mhz FM no tone or 224.500mhz AM if we set it up ahead of time from the man pack..Maybe even call in an air strike with the ground to air radio! haha
So come down to join us, pack a lunch, bring your Military or regular radio, antenna and headphones if you can, or just come to rag-chew and see what we've got going on. We'll be getting started at 10:00 AM, and should stay until at least 2:30 (depending on the weather).
We'll be monitoring one of the W2LV Repeaters on 147.300 or 147.330 (pl 151.4) for talk-in. Will also beacon APRS the location from my call KD2GIY with no identifier
