Hello all,

I have two extra PRC-74s that I would like to stop tripping over.

One is an earlier 2-12 MHz PRC-74 and it does work OK. I get about 10 watts out and it hears good. I did use it on the air a few weeks ago and no issues at that time. Problems: I just noticed that the RF output meter is intermittent. I am not surprised. That meter came out of a water damaged parts unit a while back.

The other radio is a 2-18 MHz PRC-74B that is not fully functional. I just replaced the driver with the correct SD1256 but it is not putting out more than about 5-7 watts on the bench. I just recapped this power supply and the voltages are good so I assume that the finals are getting soft. I also noticed the the 7 MHz band is dead. I assume that crystal failed. I did not check any further.

I think it would be best to sell these as a pair since you will need the parts from one to keep the other going.

I also have a NOS ni-cd battery box that I got from Murphy's a couple years ago. It is still new in the package.

I have no other accessories but could probably come up with a handset.

Who would give $300 for the whole works? I can bring to Gilbert this weekend.
