That is a good price for one that is complete. It's a bargain if you consider how hard to find some of the pieces are. I pieced mine together for at least that much money and I still do not have the dipole antenna sections.

On that note, I also have an extra 74 that I intend to sell off soon if someone does not mind buying just a radio and battery box. I need to check it out good and will hopefully have it ready before Gilbert.

Wow, did not think anyone would be interested at that price and had couple good offers already! So unless someone backs out the radio is sold.

Forgot to mention that’s also the same radio that I would loan out at Hamvention for others to use to get on the sixty and forty meters nets.

All this talk about PRC-74 is giving me the idea that I may want to sell my PRC-74, its not cheap at $500 or best offer but you will be getting a AN/PRC-74 one hundred percent working that includes antenna, color matching battery box, 7.5 Ah SLA battery that I bought a year ago or so, accessory bag with long wire antenna, headset and handset and a PDF service manual. I used this radio at Gilbert and Hagerstown and maybe one or two times for M&S Net on the road. I bought a GRC-215 backpack that’s my new portable being that I wanted twenty and seventeen meters and the old 74 just would not do that.

Picture of it with my display up at Hagerstown.

This is just a regular PRC-74 so it wont go above 12 MHz or so and is USB or CW only! Think the B or C went up to eighteen MHz but won’t do seventeen meters.

And it can be delivered to MRCA Gilbert in September.
