Antique Electronic Supply (AES) has 20AWG brown braided cloth power cord, it is a bit stiffer but works OK and looks the part.  www.tubesandmore.com

You might want to look into hiking boot laces for an approximation to the cloth wiring cover.

Cut the plastic ends off most boot laces, the outer “weave” will slide right off the inner nylon cord. Slide that weave over your contemporary wire of choice.

Won’t fool an expert, but will certainly look “old” to everyone else!

Quick question : what racks and mounts and remotes were used with the R-148/ARC-5X radio receiver ( 12 volt version of the ARC-5/ARC-23 receiver?

Got the receiver and 14 volt dynamotor.  Looking for the rack and shock mount.

Also looking for somebody who makes new cloth covered wire replacement for WW2 aviation headphones. I recycle the wire ends ( when I can ) of the headsets when I can. But the twisted, cloth covered wiring in the headsets I can’t find or reproduce.
