I have a friend that is considering the purchase of a BC-474 with hand-crank generator and the seat/stand.

The seat/stand has an incorrect generator (GN-58A) instead of the correct GN-44A.

Is this the correct stand for the BC-474?

We'd replace the GN-58 with the correct GN-44 once one is located.   Note there are NO plans to adapt the GN-58 for use with the BC-474.
