I was sent the message below from one of the club members. The Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson is building a B-17 "Radio Room" and is seeking equipment.

The 390th Memorial Museum at the Pima Air and Space Museum which houses the B-17 bomber called I’ll Be Around.
The
museum was very grateful for the donation and really understands the
importance of radio to the war effort. They want to put up a display of
the B-17 "radio room" in the museum using the radios that a ham's
family donated. The B-17 on display was missing a few things like
microphones and headsets. You may have seen my request for microphones
and headsets. I want to thank everyone who donated. We received enough
donations for the plane on display as well as this new display.
Now
that the 390th museum's renovation project is complete, we can work on
constructing the this new radio display. The director would like a full
set of radios for the display and we are missing a few items.
BC-455 Receiver (6-9.1 MC)
BC-458 Transmitter (5.3-7 MC)
BC-459 Transmitter (7-9.1 MC)
TU-5 Tuning Unit (1500-3000 KC)
TU-6 Tuning Unit (3000-4500 KC)
TU-7 Tuning Unit (4500-6200 KC)
TU-9 Tuning Unit (7700-10000 KC)
TU-10 Tuning Unit (10000-12500 KC)
We might be missing a few receiver or transmitter mounts but I don't know if those are still available.
If
you have one of the items listed above and would like to donate it to
the 390th museum for inclusion in the radio display, let me know.
Admission is free for those donating equipment. Let me know so I can
set up a meeting for the donation.
The
thought is to have an active radio station there complete with a
working amateur radio that licensed operators can use to show visitors
how radio works. We are also working on digital audio of actual B-17
radio transmissions that would play when people got near the display.
