Harris maybe fifty cents to do this in the first place but they did not. All troubleshooting starts with checking the status of the power supplies and that’s where these test points come in. Second, in addition to the exploding capacitors think the highest
failure rate item is the Low Pass Filter board the dreaded A1A5 card and its relays. I printed up a couple cheat sheets that I hang above the work bench to help locate things like what relay for what band and how to force the oscillator on. And one last thing.
Life is much better if you separate the DC power supply from the RF deck and move them one at a time.
