Cool, the Harbor Defense group at Cape Henlopen/Fort Miles always sends a group up to that event. GPW and Weapons carrier and the like. In the past have seen several people who drag out WW2 radios and set them up at Reading and think couple
of them are in working state. Don’t go myself being they are a strict WW2 only thing and they don’t want anything that’s not WW2
There is a weird thing about the WW2 groups, have the same issue when we do stuff up at Fort Miles in Delaware that you have a big group of people who want to play WW2 and have no desire for anything or anyone beyond that.
I tend to do the Military Vehicle shows that cover all aspects of history, WW2, Vietnam, Cold War and Gulf War stuff. There you get the vehicles, radios and equipment and not as much the dress up big band deal. Hagerstown, Gilbert (Red
Ball) and the like where you don’t have to follow strict rules and get to work with better equipment.

Subject: [MMRCG] Reading WW II Weekend USAAF Radio Tent
Hi Everyone
This year I will be participating in my first reenactors event. It will be at the Reading WW II Weekend in Reading PA.
https://maam.org/wwii/
The theme for our tent will be a WW II USAAF Repair Tent (or similar; that's still up in the air).
At a minimum I plan on bringing my complete SCR-274N system and demoing it on AM. The group has a small generator and I'll bring my 28V supply with batteries.
I am also thinking of leaving the BC-453 on for extended periods with one of the local NDBs dialed in.
Some static displays I'm considering bringing are my BC-375 and BC-348Q, GS and LOC receivers, test gear etc. Still up in the air.
Will anyone else be at the event with on-the-air radios ?
