Wonder if any of the radio room
equipment was removed and what became of it, or if it is going down with the ship.  Would be a shame if the latter is the case.  Maybe there is still time have some of saved once it is at Mobile for the preparation of the sinking.

Attached is a picture that was forwarded by a friend, small image and you have to squint but shows the United States and the Utopia of the Seas in the same frame. Although you may think it’s completely unrelated can think of no better example of why I run vintage old military equipment and obsolete modes. Look at the lines of the United States, an Ocean greyhound, a class of ship that will never be produced again. Also, look at the Utopia. It looks like a container ship. I suspect it’s further offshore because I imagine it’s a larger ship. The length between the United States and its Tug is eighteen hundred feet for scale.
If you’re running an ART-13 or BC-610 on AM you know what I am talking about. Those little plastic radios may be incredibly easy to use, cost lest and weigh almost nothing but they will never have the same look and feel of a generation now past.
