Isn't the bc654 40 watts cw?
The angry 9 supply probably will be insufficient anyway.
May as well go to plan B solid state supply

I am starting work on a couple BC-654 transmitter receivers. Couple questions: first, how are you supposed to pick these things up? No handles or straps, just a couple D rings. Second is does anyone have a spare connector for a GRC-9? I would like to use my GRC-9 AC power supply for running these things but need a cable connector from a GRC-9 in order to build a brake out box to feed the BC-654, if I cannot find one may just build up something with a solid state 500 volt supply. Have the dynamotors for the two of them along with several vibrator packs so unless someone comes up with a cheap connector more than likely won't use the GRC-9 power supply and just a huge twelve volt supply. Just looks like having to spin up the huge dynamotors every time you want to deal with the transmitter would be a real drag.
The scope of work on them is to get them working, replace any week capacitors and then modify them to be able to work in the eighty meter CW sub band. Like everything else a video will follow the progress.
