I have wanted to participate in the M&S net for some years now.  I live in the Raleigh NC area.  A long time ago I did hear what seemed to be fragments of net activity but in the past several years there has been nothing so I gave up.  My IC7300 would not accept a 5357 USB setting so I bought military radios that were not so hide bound but with only about 20W output.  Sill have the IC7300, two PRC-320 and a PRC2400 but lately have gone back to collecting mil 50MHz FM radios. That can mostly talk to each other.  At least they all work fine.

So anyway, I am retired and basically at home and would like very much to have a mil net in the daytime or early evening that I could reach with modest power and a decent antenna.

Thanks for your time.

Any interest in doing a Southern version of the Moose and Squirrel Cold-War Clandestine Long-Range-Reconnaissance-Patrol Net? Don’t know why, for years 5357 more them did the job for me in Maryland but the last couple years it has been almost impossible for me to copy WB2JWU or many of the northern stations on the net. PA/NJ stations are good, just not getting any love from the north. Maybe we can do a southern or rebel version of moose and squirrel at thirteen or fourteen hundred hours?

Any interest?
