The results. Before and after!
The original cable I had, I hacked up two other cables and joined them in the middle. I could never reclock these because the spanner rings were unmovable. I have the proper spanner, but I wonder if these
had locktite. And the splice in the middle was really ugly as per the electrical tape. Not my finest hour.
For the new one, I found some new connectors on ebay, clocked them properly and put in a new cable. Night and Day!

Now you should pull the butterfly nut out.
Then you can slowly and carefully manage the male pin section out.
