My AN/GRR-5 has been mounted on my M38 jeep for a couple decades now.  I've not applied power to the receiver for about ten years I think.  I suspect I would find it needs some repairs at this point (which would be quite fun actually).

Hummmmmmmm... I can still hear the vibrator.
