A couple of questions about the ART-13 and it's installation in the TBM-3 Avenger. I have seen wartime pictures of the ART-13 in the TBM Avenger both with and without the O-16/ O17 oscillator installed. What I am not seeing in any pictures is any of of the ART-13 installations is any of the ancillary antenna equipment needed for antenna matching anywhere in the aircraft. No CU-24, CU-25, CU-32, AS-13. SA-22 ....nothing. Did the Avenger use any of these accessories? If they did, where in the aircraft were these items installed? It is my understanding that the Avenger did no have a trailing wire antenna - For the ART-13, the wire antenna for the ART-13 ran from the transmiter, thru the fuselage on the left hand side of the aircraft and joined the antenna wire that ran from the mast antenna normally installed behind the pilot ( on USN Avengers, used with the aircraft's ARC-1 transceiver ) to the top of the vertical stabilizer, forming a "T", and was attached to both the ARC-1 mast and the top of the vertical using an antenna tensioner. How was this antenna matched to the ART-13?. Any help is appreciated.
