I do lots of portable operation during the summer. 60 meter propagation has been poor these days. Last summer I was readable using 20 watts. These days I need 50 to 80 watts. In addition QSB has been an issue; it's good the M&S has two rounds. Try to find an area with low manmade noise; it really helps with the readability.
