Might be a good idea.. The rectifiers probably leak like a sieve , not to mention all of the old capacitors in there.
Then again, sometimes you get lucky. and it will function, albiet not great.

folks. I have a nice GRR5 I would like to fire up and jnstall in my M151. I know it has several vibrators for both filament and b plus plus copper oxide rectifiers.  I would like some input from the group of things I should do before I put 24 volts or 110volts ac to it.  Should I do the vibrator light bulb test?
