I'm currently reading Robert Stern's most excellent book "Scratch One Flattop" about the Battle of the Coral Sea.

I've always found the organization of the Japanese forces and the terms used to be a bit baffling. I ran across this web site that I found useful as it shows the organization of the Japanese Army Air Service and the Japanese Naval Air Service:
