KWM-2A, station monitor and 30L-1 amplifier. I just got a KWM-2A that has been in storage after its depo in Tobyhanna in 1988 Its not my radio and just going thru and checking it out for the owner. Its amazing because its like a time capsule
from back then and has to be one of the cleanest KWM-2A that I have ever seen. Has a couple issues like dirty or oxidized contacts and a frozen slug in the PTO but after being locked in its suitcase for forty years that’s not that bad. Will also have to deal
with dry rot on the microphone cable, don’t know why but have always thought the stock Collins microphones were week at best.
Will have t do a video over the weekend.
