In the dim light of the photograph, the receiver looks like a Royal Air Force (British) R-1155 general coverage / Liaison
receiver. Kind of like the RAF’s version of a BC-348.
I started watching the Netflix series "All the Light We Cannot See" because it is about the relationship of a French female clandestine radio broadcaster and a German RDF expert. The transmitter equipment used by the broadcaster looks like come out of the fertile imagination of the set designer but the RDF receiver used by the German looks to be real equipment. Can anyone identify the receiver and RDF antenna:
As for the series, a reviewer described it as "cheesy" and Rotten Tomatoes gives it 23% which I heartily agree with. I suffered through the first two episodes and may see the remaining two for any the radio scenes.
