Continuity of Government

Inspired by this government construct it is necessary for us to have a contingent plan for the field operations of the Able Archer 83 event (October 21st and 22nd).

As some may already know due to changes in personal at Delaware State Parks we have lost the ability, at least at this time to have overnight access to the building that we have been using at Fort Miles. They are willing to allow us access during regular hours of operation but not at night.

We have a contingency plan that we will be activating. We will be operating multipole stations running voice, digital and teletype from a clandestine location located in Delaware, Cold War Supply Dump X-Ray.

Located somewhere between the New Castel and Kent County Border X-Ray will accommodate all aspects of W3A providing everything necessary for set up of equipment including my M151, antennas and any additional equipment for operators who may wish to attend.

As always, we invite anyone to attend, with or without equipment to take part in this event. In addition to the regular on-air ops for W3A I also intend to participate in the MMRCG RTTY Net on 7087 @ 0900 local and the MMRCG 7296 Net at 1000 that Saturday. Would like to also attempt a Cross Country contact with the West Coast on seventeen meters again.

It is sufficient to say that we will be operating from a location that offers plenty of space for vehicles, outside operation or operation in existing shelters with electrical power. Overnight camping will be permitted.
