Attached is a drawing of the layout that I am using. Yes, the Dovetron decodes and encodes and runs in full duplex. If you are not familiar with the Dovetron it may throw you in that the decode adjustments on the front have nothing to do
with the transmit tones. Transmit tones are set by the small screwdriver adjustments on the back of the modem, some TU have three different presets and others have only one. I just let the modem run all the time and use the external audio input on the 1310
exciter along with using the external PTT to control going between receive and transmit. One toggle switch next to the teleprinter controls everything via the RF-1310 command bus that extends to the amplifier and receiver.
The RF-1310 exciters are huge , complex and heavy and only develop 100 mW but they do a great job controlling the other stuff like the amplifier including power presets, ALC and APC functions and cannot imagine running a RF-110 or 1110
without one.
Do you have any of the RF-1310/RF-110 combos up and running on the ship?

What I mean is, are you using the Dovetron for sending or do you have something else doing the sending?
I have the same Dovetron at home, kind of have a love and hate-ish relationship with it, but they do work well when its right and I like the adjustable tones on receive.
Hoping to join on 7087 from the ship again...slowwwly getting there.
