Yes I saw that.  Have a special fondness for the Catalina.  First plane I ever flew in, although I was very very young, in fact I was a few months shy of being born.  My mother worked in the offices of Remmert-Werner Aviation at Lindbergh Field in St. Louis where they converted war surplus aircraft such as the Catalina and DC-3/C-47s to executive aircraft. They would often take up the office staff on check rides, perhaps when checking performance with a full rated load of crew and passengers.  While she was working there, they were doing up a DC-3 for early TV and radio personality Arthur Godfrey, who was an active private pilot and also flew in Naval and Air Force Reserves.  He was also an avid amateur radio operator.
