Ok, so this is the first 5022E I dealt with and am having a huge issue. On the plane old 5020 they have a frequency key and you can enter receive and transmit directly, real easy stuff. This 5022E has no such key just four arrows, think channel 00 with the preset selector set to “M” should allow me to move across the display to set a new frequency but all I can change is the channel and the squelch on/off everything else is locked out and if I hit the ENER key all I get is a flashing SECURE indication so apparently I am prevented from changing anything. All the self test and all that stuff works just fine but unless I can find a password, and its not 00000000 I am stuck with a radio that has 99 preset USB channels all on 1.6 MHz.

This radio came from a Dod contractor and was used to test wide band antennas and has been in storage turned off for the last five years. Got a ton of manuals including the Harris study guide but have not looked at that stuff yet.

Anyone have any ideas???
