Sorry about that, its Monday, the lighting is bad and it was a long weekend off with Spring Break and all that. It’s my mistake, it’s the West Coast Military Radio Collectors group and not the MMRCG

Still, the same deal just substitute MMRCG with MRCG, or maybe it’s just that I added two many “M” to the text?

The Challenge:

MMRCG will be having their annual Camp San Luis Obispo event on May 5th and 6th, being some three thousand miles away I will not be attending. I will be at the Hagerstown airport former home of Fairchild manufacturing plant for the annual Blue and Gray MVPA show, one time known as the Aberdeen show.

In the past at that show I have worked California on seventeen meters in the afternoon without issue from the mutt and wonder if we can try a cross country QSO as part of both events? Can be the first coast to coast Military Radio event of its kind!

Last year the military cross band event was happening at that time and did multipole pentagon (WAR) to the MVPA show and that was fun, think this can be interesting.

I will have the M151 mutt at the Hagerstown event with the GRC-106 on board so USB will not be a issue up around 18.155 or so and will also have everything set up for RTTY, 850 shift 60 wpm  so we can try the RTTY sub band somewhere around 18.075 to 18.110

Who knows, maybe we can get some of the central stations to participate also?
