Aleks,
We met at the CARAFest in October. I was at the Carroll County radio club booth.
Recently I was asked by the daughter of a S K to help them liquidate some of his ham related items. As it turns out, he purchased and resold military surplus 4' green fiberglass poles, the kind we hams like to make temp antenna masts with.
By my estimation, there are between 30 and 50 thousand of these poles. Yeah, I was dumb founded as well. Some are in bags of about 25, and many are loose in a pile. All have been stored outside for about 8 years I am guessing.
We would like to find a surplus dealer who might be interested in purchasing the lot or a significant portion of it. Do you know anyone who might fit that bill?
In the future, the daughter may offer them up to local clubs for a reasonable price. When that happens, I will let you know if you think your club members might be interested in some.
Let me know if you have any insight for me.
Thanks.
