The name applied to changes that could be accomplished in the field was usually Field Change, normally accompanied by a numbered Change to the operating and/or maintenance manuals until the manuals were revised.

Strangely enough, the only manual that I have for AN/URC-32 is an Operator’s  Manual that covers up through AN/URC-32B.  And it does not mention nor show an hour meter.  So the meter must have come out after the –B came out.  The only C that I recall ever seeing was “acquired” by ET’s from Valley Forge from dock-side in Long Beach and I no longer was working on COMM gear by then so I didn’t pay much attention to it.  And that was 55 years ago this coming Summer.  But I don’t recall the 4 or 5 other ones that I did work on once upon a time as having an hour meter.  So you can count yourself as lucky if you turn one up.

Are you sure that wasn’t added under a TCTO (or whatever the Navy equivalent is)  I have two URC-32B, and one is sans the hour meter, the other had hacked it hacked in, but it is a Hobbs, not a Cramer (the sheet metal job was pretty, well, workmanlike).

I am looking for an hour meter for the URC-32b.  It was manufactured by Cramer and the Model is a 620H.  Fits in a 2.5 inch diameter hole with a square flange front with 4 mounting holes.
