MMTTY is free and I have been using it for years now both in the field and at home. Works well receiving and transmitting. The audio spectrum analyzer makes tuning simple and the AFC function requires no brain. Only complaints I have is
you have to learn to tune the radio so the tones fall on mark and space if you don’t and use the AFC the AFC function on the decoder will tend to wonder off sometimes when nothing is being received and that can be annoying along with if your using it for transmit
go thru the work of building up the transmitter control and don’t use the VOX because every time your computer makes a noise the transmitter will turn on.

Subject: [MMRCG] copying RATT net on a computer
I got email from someone who wants to eavesdrop on the 40m RATT nets.
- he doesn't have a Real Teletype yet so wants to use his computer.
What do you guys recommend? I have heard of MMTTY. What else?
