The 104 has a very effective tuner, and does just fine.  I do use one short counterpoise just because.  So, I'm really just dealing with one piece of wire.

If not. one can try a quarter wave with four short (10 ft) counterpoises connected at the radio. This is what I use with my KX2 when operating the the M&S net.
