That's one of the hazards of driving a mil vehicle a long distance to a meet.
I have an extra water can mounted on the starboard side of my M151A1 that does not contain any water but is chuck full of tools, extra belts, wiring, lamps, spare hardware etc.

I left Friday at 4AM, drove into the pouring rain about 2 hours out, after about 1/2 hour into the rain my wiper linkage let go in the M886.  I found a NAPA but had to sit in the parking lot until 730 waiting for them to open, bought the linkage bushing, some slip joint pliers and grease, and made repairs under the gas station awning.  Back on the road and arrived at 1045, late from my original 0900 plans.  Arriving to find a vendor ghost town, can't blame them with the heavy rain and wind, only one brave camper set up below and most of the vendors set up were in the buildings.  I only saw a couple of military radio's and have them pictured here.  I had to leave at noon as I had 2 appointments to pick up M151 jeep engines.  Made it home at 950pm, again slowed down by heavy rain and wind.  I hope to hear better reports from the Saturday crowd.
