Left Wednesday night 10pm local, arrived Thursday
0900am with no travel issues, Bernie beat me to it and was
pretty much set up with his Clansman display and M151A1. Friday
afternoon was radio play time, Ray in the field and Al back at
HQ, both did a great job. Flea market was full of vendors and
plenty to see, I am going to make 2022 the official year of the
RT-524 at Gilbert, I have never seen so many for sale, there was
one or more at every corner. I did not see the WWII radio stuff
for sale like there usually is, every year has it's own flavor.
The weather was cold and very windy, hard to keep you hat on
windy, and of course the usual heavy rain on Thursday. I had
planned to leave on Saturday morning but by Friday night I had
seen and done what I wanted to. Left around 5pm and arrived
home Saturday morning at 522am, about 1300 miles round trip.
Would have been home 2 hours earlier but I got stuck in late
night construction in NY and CT.
Big thanks to all who make Gilbert a success.
