I made an attachment for my Dyson handheld vacuum. It consists of about 30 nylon straws positioned in a circle, with each straw about 0.08 inches ID. That works real well. The problem is, whenever I drop something small, I forget I have it. 73 – Mike

I get an old nylon stocking from my wife, place it over the vacumn cleaner opening and use the vacumn. Works every time. I also find stuff I forgot I lost.

When you drop a small part such as a 2-26 nut  do you search for it for a few minutes with a bright light and those 4X glasses  or just give up right away? Since my shop  floor in the shop is in bad shape I usually just surrender, call off the search,  and replace the nut  from my parts bin. But if I continue the search I often find small parts that I  lost last month.
