Given the "contract date" in 1974, that equipment was truly outdated, no... antiquated.. even for export to 3rd world. The newer FM gear, PRC-25 and 77, et al, were readily available in NATO. Not to mention all the German gear. But, the tag certainly does tell a story. I guess it must be an overhaul or re-man date... ya think?

italian electronics firm. The firm name also appears on the IF cans and on the RF modules. The firm does not exist anymore and nobody remembers them. Do you think that the radio could have been produced in Italy or just simply serviced here? Notice that in "Contr. 6972 del 18-2-74"  "Contr." could stand as Contract or Controllo (check)
