At this time I have a D cell adapter on its way to me along with a NOS Magnesium pack that had a date code 0208 that I am going to assume is February 2008 that when I unpacked and plugged into PRC-77 allowed it to make three watts or so.
Figure that will be good for next weekend and eventually the battery adapter will show up and can switch to that for later shows.
Been doing the military vehicle shows for a while now and am always surprised by the amount of people who are drawn to the PRC-25/77 and all the stories they have related to that radio. Between how that radio saved there life to veterans
of the Gulf war who say they had to use that basic training and remember it from there. So that’s why I want to have it up and running for the Delaware Goes to War event next weekend.
Intend to be on the 7.296 MMRCG net in the morning and the 5.357 M&S net at noon using the AN/GRC-106 in the mutt and will have the RT-524 on the starboard side of the mutt set to 51.0 for the entire event but don’t expect to hear much
on that except from the times that I am playing around with the PRC-77
Just curious Mr. B have you moved yet? Are you in Delaware now? Fort Miles was one of your old Duty Stations.

The BB-LA6, sealed wet cell, is a modern replacement. Plugs right in. Also, the BH-386B/PRC “D” cell holder is a replacement that plugs in..
