Dave;
I looked at the AN/GRC-19 to go in the back of my M-37. I wanted to
combine both amateur radio and military vehicle hobbies. I then got my
hands on a S-144 telephone switchboard shelter, complete with SB-86 60
line switchboard. I replaced the switchboard with custom welded brackets
for a GRC-106a mount. I created a mobile HF station that has 400 watts
output instead of the 100 w T-195 output. The T-195 seemed to be
problematic with all the tubes. I only use it on SSB and CW, so don't
have the RTTY and modem to deal with. It's all period correct and I set
it up at shows and used it once at Field Day. The set up pic is on my
QRZ page.
Incidentally I was recently given a R-392. I haven't set it up yet, but
have some accessories for it. The case was drilled to put on 4 screw
feet on it. I'd like to get the mounting plate for it after I power it
up and verify it works correctly
