Looks better in Black and White. More Old Timey. Just looked on the Bay and saw them selling for anywhere from $10 to $300, don’t think I ever paid more then $20 for one and may not have ever been able to sell one for more than that. At one time heterodyne frequency meters were in demand but that’s gone the way of Spark gap and TRF receivers. Although a good TRF receiver may be worth many times what the LM series devices are today. I have a FR-38 frequency meter  that I went thru and got working and its several times the size and weight of the BC-221 and equally as valueless. Fun project though. You can see a video at:
