Does your TR relay short the receiver antenna input? Or does it just leave it open? The 590 definitely has a MUTE input. I can’t recall about the 2368. Interestingly, the exciter as a MUTE output for the receiver. I wonder if it is just
another keyline out signal or something different.

Maybe this weekend if I can figure out how to go from receive to transmit with out having to crank on the volume control of the receiver! Cant believe that the R-2368 is so stupid as to not have any mute, hope the RF-590 is better?

Picture of Harris set up that I used for M&S Net on Saturday. Did not get up in time for MMRCG Net but hope to be on this Saturday. Note the switch on the front that was the manual T/R relay control. On Sunday built up interface so now
T/R function is controlled by the PTT bus with the next step receiver mute. Only running one half of amplifier and set in attenuation to accommodate power restriction for sixty meters.
