Good day for radio last Saturday. Unlike the last two weekends the band was back to normal for the 7087 RTTY net with good signal levels all around. K4NYW was NCS as usual, think it may be the first time W1NZR was on line. The 7296 USB net went without issue and was on 7296, some may have been following how it will often have to relocate due to AM stations operating on 7295 and we have been know to frequent 7280 and sometimes as low as 7275 because of traffic but this Saturday everything was clear and we did hold the net on 7296 with N2MS, WF2U running a RF-350K/355 combo W1ZFB who also checked in running a PRC-47, KE8ULR on another 350K , WA3YRE with his TW-100, W1NZR with yet another Harris RF-350K and the channel master KW1I banging in at twenty over at my location with his Sunair GSB and amplifier.
I ran the usual Harris RF-5000 Falcon package for voice and the RF-2368/RF-1310 exciter with the RF-1100 amplifier along with the UGC-129 for RTTY.
