[MRCA] AN/ARR-46 info wanted

This receiver showed up on eBay a week or so ago, and since it had a 
front panel

jack labeled ARC-44, and I happen to have an ARC-44, had to get it.


Showed up today. Looks like it is meant to be an auxiliary receiver

to the ARC-44 set, tunable 24.0 to 51.9 Mc. Based on the low

serial number (12) and the blank parenthesis in the designation

AN/ARR-46(   ), wondering if it is a prototype or evaluation

unit, wonder if it ever made it into service.


Just curious if anyone has any information or

documentation on the set.

However, reverse engineering can be fun.
